In February, I went on a trip to Naval Air Facility (NAF) El Centro located in El Centro, California with a group from Arizona Aviation Photographers, http://www.azaerophoto.com, along with several other aviation photography websites. We arrived early to watch the Blue Angels morning practice which we viewed from the end of the runway, giving us a different perspective of the Blue Angels air show.  These are some of the photos from this location.

In the afternoon we went onto the base and set up next to show center.  We got a up close view of the Blue Angels as they taxied out to the runway.

Next up was the air show practice.  Some maneuvers were done more than once if they were not done perfect the first time.

After the practice we were taken over to another runway to shoot more aircraft taking off and returning.  It was an awesome experience that I hope to do again.  It was almost all F-18’s along with a single T-45.

Along with the F-18’s, there was also some Canadian visitors to the base to do training.
